Welcome to October.. I think. It's hard to believe it's Autumn when the temperature is still in the 90s and colors never change.

Swine Flu... Jury Duty.. Back Mishaps.. A Mountain of Cleaning.. and a job where overtime is required but never reimbursed.

I keep telling myself, "when it slows down, I can work on this.. or that."

Boy, am I good at lying to myself of what?

I'm lucky to have a job in these times, especially one that pays well. Unfortunately, it's taken a horrible toll on my mental and physical health. I spend my time in bed instead of fixing my house, my things, or my projects.

My friend who is working in Rydan came to visit with his fiance last month. Though it was only part of a day, it was nice. ^.^
I'm still working with my friend who's over here from Japan for his Masters but he's been hard to get a hold of or I've been hard to get a hold of. Wonky schedules: FTL.

Jury Duty was strangely fun. Despite the strain it put on my job and on my back due to those icky chairs, it was an exciting change of pace that I was able to share with a friend. I truly do have a new idea of how the justice system works. Even though there are some boring parts, I highly reccommend that next time you get your summons that you truthfully do your duty. You never know what you might experience.

Swine flu is everywhere. I've even had a confirmed case in my own household. I keep wondering when it will end. The histeria is so hard to deal with on top of all the other applications I'm used for in my line of "real work".

I'd give almost anything for a month off, but I'm not in a position to really do such a thing. Maybe after I run myself into the ground and break, I'll be able to do so. Sadly, I doubt I'd recover to lead a normal life afterwards. For now, like the rest of America, I trudge on.
